I've had a lot of questions about the new Target commercial song with a female singer with two girls dancing around and decorating their dorm room, with a reggae salsa latin dance vibe to it.

I have not seen this commercial yet. so I will have to leave this one to you. It one of these two versions of the same song:

• "Calabria" by Enur (Amazon MP3) featuring MIMS and Natasja, the 2007 mix and the 2008 mix


• "Destination Calabria" by Alex Gaudino (Amazon MP3) feat. Crystal Waters

I am pretty confident that the version in the commercial is the one by Enur.

Dell just started running a new ad for their color laptops which has a cute girl on a pink motor scooter with a pink helmet and a pink laptop. Catchy lyrics:

This song is by Kira Willey and is called "Colors," (Amazon MP3) from her CD "Dance for the Sun."

OMG UR A PIG!! Or so says the new commercial from ATT featuring the LG Shine. Lyrics? Nothing more than "Oh Yeah."

The song? Um.

How about "Oh, Yeah" by Yellow (amazon) . As made famous in "Ferris Beuller's Day Off."

Apparently, there is another ad featuring "Heaven Isn't Too Far Away" by Warrant.

If I knew anything about "The Hills" I'd have known that the commercial also featured Lauren Conrad and Brody Jenner. Or is it "Laguna Beach?" I'm so out of touch....

The new JC Penney ad for Back To School is a great callback to "The Breakfast Club." It features teenage boys and girls dancing and acting like in the movie, and even features the hit song from the movie, though re-made:

The JCP commercials feature several different versions of the song. One is "Don't You Forget About Me" by New Found Glory from their CD "From the Screen to Your Stereo, Pt. II." ... I think.

But are at least 5 verions by other bands (such as Hawk Nelson, Sun Lux and more). Your best bet is the iTunes-only JCPenney offering called "JCPenney Presents: Don't You Forget About Me (The Covers) - EP." It is - a collection of remakes of DYFAM - six different versions, a great idea!

But I'd be slammed if I didn't mention that the song was originally recorded by Simple Minds , and is available on the Breakfast Club soundtrack (Amazon) and on iTunes in "Now That's What I Call The 80's"

And if you have not seen "The Breakfast Club" pick up the DVD, you'll appreciate the J.C. Penney commercial even more.

After a long ... time of searching, I found the title to this song. Its "Sacrifice" by Theory of a Dead Man. Hope this helps

A recent commercial for Target caught my ear. The female singer sounded familiar when she sang:

Yep, there is no doubt, I know Dolly Parton when I hear her! Would you have ever expected to hear Dolly in a Target commercial?

Well, in case you liked the happy little honkey-tonk ditty, it is called "More Where That Came From" and can be found on Dolly Parton's 1993 CD "Slow Dancing With The Moon."

Wow, been a while. Sorry, had some major PC issues, vacations, summer, going outside - and a severe drought of commercials with good music. But we are back!

Today's post is about the Nissan Versa. You don't hear any lyrics in the commercial, just some salsa-ish music in the background.

Can't say it was terribly hard to figure this out (I always like a challenge), this one was a cinch. The song is "I Need To Know" by Marc Anthony . You can find it on his CD "Marc Anthony."

I just caught the tail end of a new commercial for the AT&T Go Phone with Unlimited Texting or Talk (not sure) commercial (may not even be AT&T). It had a Dad and a son in the garage singing a song together. It srarted with the father singing, then the teenage boy starts and joins him singing "I'll love ya til the end of time, I love you till the end of time!"

Well, I knew I had to post about this song. In case you don't know it, the song is homage to "Paradise By The Dashboard Light" by Meat Loaf , from the "Bat Out Of Hell" CD . The song is really long, and has 3 main sections (Paradise/Let Me Sleep On It/Praying For the End Of Time), the last of which is featured in the commercial. Great song, great CD! And by the way, I am pretty sure that is Meat Loaf himself as the Dad singing in the commercial.

And for those who are looking for the "Kelly Moore" commercial, the one where the Dad is looking for his daughter at make-out point, yelling "KELLY MOORE!!" here it is! Click Read More to see it...

There is a new Sunsilk commercial playing that features clips of Madonna, from some of her older videos, in very bright purple and green colors, while a great song is playing. Have you wondered what the song is? Geekzoid, from our foums, wonders:
Is there anybody who would know the song on the new commercial for Sunsilk Shampoo? It's a real bouncy, danceable song and the commercial is animated with psychedelic images like circles, a "Saturday Night Fever" guy and several of Madonna.
