Ok, um, so I watched “Angel” last night (“Destiny” 11/20/03).

I’ve pretty much caught up on the 5 years of “Buffy” I missed (I began watching in S5). So I thought I knew what was what and who was who.

But no, I missed the first 3 years of that show too, so now I once again playing “catch up.” Like Darla and her whole story, how Wesley de-geeked himself, who Lorne was before he was a regular, how Fred lost her thick Texas accent… but those are for another time.…

Well, I didn’t think they could pull it off in just one hour. But last night’s final episode (or finale as we Promo folk like to say) was able to do in 45 minutes what other shows can’t do in 2 hours.…

Hm, did you realize that the scythe Buffy used* in last night’s second-to-last episode has appeared in the Buffyverse before? Yep, it can be seen in Joss Whedon’s Fray comic book (a Slayer story set 200 years in the future).…

Well, that does it.

I am totally convinced that Angel is a much better show that Buffy. This is my first season on with Angel, 2nd with Buffy, and I am thoroughly enjoying Angel so much more than BVS. I really won’t miss Buffy.…

At a later point, I will place this in the “more” section since I know not everyone cares to read about my TV obsessions (wBlogger doesn’t have a “more” option yet).

So this was one heckuva week for Joss fans. Both “Angel” and “Buffy” rocked my socks, and things look even better in weeks to come.…
