They claim it isn’t spyware.

Even if you haven’t screwed up, you need to go grab this and keep it handy just in case.

I remembered Christine needed it way back when, so I went to her archive to fish it out. But the author’s site is no longer online, so I really had to hunt for this sucka. I found it here. Warning: the download site had Gator try to install so be sure your security settings are on Medium. OK I don’t know if it will self-install, but it prompted me, so better safe than sorry.

The program has no adware, no Gator, it is just totally free. So go get it already!

Anyone remember “In Living Color” where they had the two homeboys selling things from their van? They’d always say “Mo’ Money!” HA! I crack myself up!

Anyway, today I am downloading Mozilla, the open-source version of Netscape.
I still like the idea of what Netscape was, the Lone Ranger of Browsers. But alas, Netscape charged for their and MicroSloth gave theirs away. The end.

Well Mozilla give the browser back to the people, and I am gonna install it for no other reason than to have it to test my sites upon. I probably need Opera too.

And just like MovableType, there is an entire community of developers creating add-ons for the browser. So here are some cool add-ons for Mozilla:

* MultiZilla – have multiple browsers in one, tabbed window. Kinda like NetCaptor.

* MozBlog – “a tool to enable people to blog with mozilla while they surfing”

* LiveLizzard - “Livelizard is a client for LiveJournal-based journaling sites”

* Lodur - “a Sidebar panel to track some of your favorite webcams”

* leech – “a quick way to download all the files (images, video clips, zip archives, etc.) from a single page”

* Hermes – Fast and simple means of access to “web-based e-mail accounts, such as Hotmail, which we regularly check when we are online”

Sounds like a good alternative to MS IE. But I will keep IE around anyway, too many people use it, and I kinda like it.

If you use Outlook and get tons of spam, then you should look at CloudMark SpamNet.

It is a free add-in to Outlook and it works great. I just can’t count on the built-in Junk Mail filter to do a a good job. What is great about CloudMark is that everyone adds to the filter’s database. From their site:

Just like Napster allowed us to share a central list of our favorite music, Cloudmark Spamnet allows us to share a central list of spam. Individually this reported spam isn’t very powerful, but the collective reports of millions of email users networked together blocks virtually all spam on the Internet.

Give it a look, I’ve already watched it remove 133 spam messages since I installed in on Friday.

And did I already mention PocketKnife Peek? It lets you view the raw html and text of a message without opening it. Very very cool, and prevents those nasty i-frames from opening in your Outlook HTML mail messages. Get this one too!
