Monday Mission 3.51

The end is near, just 2 more Monday Missions to go before I retire this long-running meme. January 5th is the last one, in case you were wanting to mark your calendar.

It is still hard to put it to rest, but the time is right. So, I am glad you are here for this final lap around blog land.

By the way, if the questions begin to sound familiar, it is entirely possible that after 2+years of this that I may be repeating myself. Yet another reason to cease and desist.

One last thing, I was considering revealing the answers to ALL the "Bonus" questions through the entire run on the Monday Mission once it is over. So, be sure to stick around for that next month.

So, to quote Ton Loc "Lez Do It..."

PromoGuy's Monday Mission 3.51

1. Last night, I had a nightmare that my car had been stolen. I and a female companion were leaving a party and my car, that had been parked in the street, was gone. It was so real, that my pulse was quickening. I panicked, and said to myself "It must be a dream, I have to wake up!" I crouched down on my feet, grabbed my head and with all my might fought to wake up. Finally, I did, and it really was a dream, but my heart was pounding so bad that it took a while to calm down. Have you ever had a dream so real, that inside the dream you had to fight to wake yourself up? Do you remember the dream?

2. I've mentioned this before, but I really don't believe in the concept of a "soul-mate." Maybe this is because I've never really felt like I have met mine. Once I thought maybe, but she felt someone else was hers. Could be that in another relationship I met her, and for some reason it didn't work out, but then, we wouldn't really have been soul-mates, would we? So, when I hear someone say "I've met my soul-mate" I cringe and roll my eyes and mumble "yeah, right." How would you define the concept of a "soul-mate" is? Do you believe in such things? Have you met your soul-mate?

3. What does it take to make men happy anyway?

4. What is your favorite piece of electric hardware, and why?

5. Yesterday in our adult Sunday School class, a lady was telling us about a woman with car trouble she had stopped to help. Now, the lady who stopped had her own 2 small children in her car. With so much uncertainty out there, I am not so sure I would stop to help a stranger if I had 2 children in my car. Turns out though, that the motorist was a mother who had a 15-month old in the car and was on the way to church. She also had just lost an infant and was having the service the next day, but now would have no way to get there. Eventually she got the lady and her child to her church. It left me wondering how many people I had just driven by that I could have helped. But at the same time, I felt like she was taking too big of a risk stopping to help a stranger when it was just her and her children. Have you ever stopped to help a stranded motorist? Has anyone ever stopped to help you when you were stranded? Isn't there some element of risk involved when helping someone with car trouble, or is it better to just "do unto others as you'd have them do unto you?"

6. Just for fun, what is the one present you'd like for Christmas, but you know there is no way you will?

7. What are you thankful for this Christmas [or your current holiday this season]?

BONUS: Could you hurry, sir? Daddy says there's not much time.

Today's Comment Question: Did you see Lord of the Rings: Return of the King? Any good?

I had a dream my car got stolen last night, too. Nothing to get worked up about, it's just a Pontiac. And I have not seen any of the Lord of the Rings movies because I do not like movies of that genre.

mine are up! happy monday :)

Believe it or not, that movie triology is not up my tree.

got mine up!
I've not seen the new LOTR movie. I've not seen any of them. They just don't do it for me. My husband and son saw it, and they LOVED it.

I had a bad experience at the first one (in a movie theater), and never bothered to watch the others, sorry.

Since that bad experience was like 2 years ago, I should just get over it and try watching it again in the quiet and comfort of my own home.

I haven't seen ROTK yet, but I will be as soon as the holiday insanity is over. Wanted to go see it today, but I am still too busy making Xmas presents. :(

And mine are up!

Mine just went up.

No desire to see LOTR.

Yea right, I haven't seen the 3rd Matrix yet. What do you think I'm single :)

Mine are up for 1 of the last 3.

Have a wonderful and safe holiday.

Mine's up! What am I gonna do when this ends? This is making me sad. There's no way you'd recondiser?

Comment Q: I read the books on which these movies are based. That's enough.

recondiser= reconsider

My bad.

Mine are going up. I have seen RotK twice and plan on seeing it at least a couple more times. IT RULES.

Gee, just when I discovered this it goes away. :-(

My answers are up.

Mine's up. I haven't seen any of them [the LOTR movies]. I'm starting to feel this invisible peer pressure to see them though. I guess I'll have to start from the beginning.

Mine are posted.

As for the question, I haven't yet seen it, nor have I seen the second one. I saw part of the first one, but fell asleep during it. (It wasn't boring; I just always fall asleep while laying down on the loveseat...long story.) I'd like to see them all eventually, but I think we'll wait for the DVD boxed set.

posted a day late. good q's.

I saw LOTR return of the king and it is by far my favorite. Incredibly long yes, don't drink coke before the movie. Go see it.

Ah and the q's are completed in my live journal.

Mine is up.
Haven't seen ROTK yet.

Really, really late with this one.
And yes, I have seen ROTK twice. I NEVER see movies more than once in the theatre, so this is a good sign. It's the best of the trilogy.
