So, next Monday I will be on a Mission of a different sort.
Yep, I've finally scheduled my Colonoscopy.
ugh.
If you are wondering why someone my mid-30's age would be getting one of these, you would be justified. Normally I wouldn't, but since my Dad died of Colon Cancer, I was told it would be a good idea.
So, I go in every 3-5 years as a preventitive measure.
This will be my second one so far.
The last one didn't go so well. Even thought I did all the prep work, drank all the Lax and spend a day and a half on the stool, I still wasn't "clean" enough for him to see everything.
Hard to believe, I was sure there was nothing left inside me. It sure looked like it was nothing but fluids going out at that point.
This time I am making double-sure.
I am only drinking clear liquids. Period.
Last time I was told I could have Ensure, but I have a feeling that wasn't a good idea.
Anyway.
The Monday Mission is the least of my concerns at this point, so it may go up early, or may go up late or...
At least they will knock me out for the procedure. Unlike Katie Couric, I am not to keen on watching my procedure.
I don't have a laptop, so I can't exactly blog this whole event. Like you'd really want to know I typed a post while sitting on the crapper!
But if nothing else, I can write a little before and after stuff about it.
Maybe it will encourage some other men to have one done.
Considering all you have to lose (your hair, your life, your family), there just is no good reason to put it off a routine Colonoscopy.
Trust me, the worst part is the prep work.
More on that soon.
Like you really wanna know!

You'll be in my thoughts and prayers.
