Last for now

I am just SO upset by this whole Danielle van Dam case.

I mean, I am just terribly saddened by the whole thing. It just about brings me to tears to hear it on the news, that and the whole Andrea Yates trial.

Kids really deserve a better chance in the world. I just can't wrap my mind around why they are so often the victims of these violent crimes.

It just makes me wish I could protect all of them.

Almost Done!

I am SO ready to be out of here!

Yeah I learned a lot, but man, my work is backing up - and heck, I am just totally bored.

My attention span is spent.

Uggggh.

BTW, the Grammy's will be on tonight. Looks like a really good line-up, it might help fill the void left by the Olympics.

DreamCaster

This is related to the post below.

Today while at lunch (where I met Katie), I had gone to the mall (which is across the road from the training center) and found a Rumble Pack for the Dreamcast I recently aquired (from Sean, how about that for Karma). Found a great deal on one for $4.99 (not bad considering it is a discontinued system).

Last night I just bought "Crazy Taxi" for the DC, also for $4.99. It may be a dead system, but it is all new to me - and cheap games makes it all the more fun!!!

Not to mention that I can play Nintendo, Super Nintendo, ColeCoVision and Aracade games on it now, thanks to this site!

If you have a DC, give it a shot, it is a lot of fun. Let me know if you want to geek out about it sometime.

Hey, is that (insert name) over there?

Still in class, woefully neglecting my Blog and Blog reading (and commenting). Tomorrow will be better.

Today at lunch I ran into Katie, who was a co-worker of mine from my days at JC Penney's. We both did that double-take of "Hey....aren't you..." She said my goatee threw her, and her, I'd know those eyes anywhere.

I had a major crush on her, but alas, to her I was just a nice guy. Which now, upon running into her, is something for which I am thankful.

We had a nice talk. If I'd ever been involved with her, I doubt it would have been so comfortable. She has 3 children now, and that gave us a lot to talk about. She's stayed at home for the past 6 years raising them but is now going back for her Masters (to become a school Principal).

It is pretty fascinating to learn what has become of people after not seeing them in four years. While there I ran into Sean and his wife (who, upon seeing me talking to a girl they don't know, should make interesting news to my SO).

It was just nice to visit and see the different paths we took.

Hey, I got class!

Who knew?

Actually I am in Day 2 of my PageMaker level 01 class. This one is really not bad. I have had PageMaker for years but never used it.

I am finding that there is a lot to learn, but also, that it makes sense to me and is quite interesting. Assuming my ADD doesn't kick in!

Much more so than the HTML level 01 that melted my brain from boredom.

Just thought I'd let y'all know what's going on.
