Although I would have nominated either "Butterfly Kisses" or "The Chicken Dance," it seems that "The Lady In Red" was voted Chris De Burgh's song as "most likely to have guests cringing at weddings."
Maybe they should revise the song. Click below for my solution.

ok that was really sad. LOL
Oh, I do agree with that choice. That song is so cringeworthy. Your version brought a smile to my face, but the essence of the cringe is still there. He's right up there with Julio Iglasias for me. And Enrique isn't much better.
I didn't even get through the first few seconds of that clip... must I really?
It's just the icing on the cake that the song is used in Weight Watchers commercials now.
Oh, and any Luther Vandross song at a wedding is pretty cringe-worthy, too.
I am a DJ and therefore play the songs you hear at weddings. I can thankfully say that I would not choose to play Lady in Red but every now and then have no chaice in the matter as the couple request is.
Further down the chart, I have never had to play Hear Say and don't even posses copies of Unchained Melody by Gareth Gates, Everything I Do by Bryan Adams or Love is all around by Wet Wet Wet.
I really think you need to get a studio contract and make the CD - that I could see at weddings - lol!
