Good news, bad news. Good news is I can tell you that the song in the commercial is called "Sway" which is actually pretty old. Bad news? It was recorded JUST for the Kohl's commercial by Shiny Lapel Trio. You can't buy it. BUT, Michael Buble does an excellent version of the song "Sway" Now, back to The Shiny Lapel Trio. From what I gather, The Shiny Lapel Trio (a up and coming "Swing-a-Billy" band) recorded the song (probably along with some other bands), sent it in for consideration, and were picked to be the music used in the commercial. You can find out more about the band at their MySpace page, or visit their website, where you can find some free MP3s to download. And no "Sway" is not one of them. But, you can listen and watch the commercial here below! Here's hoping they can sell their version soon, and much success to them! Show 'em some love, leave comments! If you like "Sway" then you sould check out these other versions: "Mucho Mambo (Sway)" Pussycat Dolls (from the "Shall We Dance" soundtrack ) Melinda Doolittle as perfromed on last season's American Idol (iTunes exclusive) But Shaft's version has to be my favorite!

I was wondering if anyone knew that song what it is in the new kohls commercial its something about a magic box everyone is trying to get out of. so pretty and haunting and lyrical. do you know what the name of it is?

Posted by: Just Me at November 12, 2007 08:18 PMthe band is the shiny lapel trio the are a local connecticut band i they play every tuesday at the griswold inn in Essex Connecticut where they where founded by teh kohls commercial guy that wanted them to play that song Sway in the commercial. they are captivating Tiger's voice is amazing and i see them every tuesday at a local pub for free.
