September 16, 2007Music Heard in McDonald's Happy Meal Commercial: How Low Can You Go?Did you catch the McDonald's Happy Meal commercial in the Emmys tonight? It had a young boy dressed in old school hip-hop clothes, come to the dinner table with a boom box. He then began dipping his apple slices and gettin' real funky now all to thumipn' beat. All this as his straigh-laced, business suit Dad watched with his jaw hanging open. I knew by the lyrics what song this was: One Hop This Time Slide to the right Come on y'all How low can you go I'm outta here y'all The song is "Cha Cha Slide (Part 2)" by DJ Casper. Read More to see the video.... You can watch a low quality video of the long version (:60) of the commercial below, and the music video below that:

This is the BEST McDonald's commercial I have EVER seen!!! Our ENTIRE family runs to the TV everytime it comes on. We've got it recorded on DVR.
Posted by: A Matt at December 20, 2007 5:24 PMMy 2.5 year old son loves this commercial, every time he hears the music he dances to it, he claps his hands and tries to do the cha-cha too, best commercial we have seen, we finally found the artist and lyrics so I can get the music.

Posted by: becky at December 29, 2007 9:45 PMThis commercial just makes me happy. Like matt, our family also runs to the tv every time it comes on. Our most favorite commercial ever!!!
I really enjoy this commerical. The young man is so serious and so cute. I haven't seen the commerical on TV lately though. Have they stopped showing it? I certainly hope not. Besides the music being so lively, the entire commercial is really attention-getting.
