September 14, 2007Music Heard in Kohl's Commercial: La La La La La La LaI barely caught the end of this commercial, so I don't have all the details. But it was for Kohls and I saw a woman in a black and white dress walking in ain a field. And what caught my ear was the music! IAnd I ride and I ride Right, that is Iggy Pop's "The Passenger" from the Lust for Life album. My money's on it being Iggy in the Khols commercial. Either way, it was pretty weird hearing an Iggy Pop song on a department store commercial. Here's the Iggy version:

Posted by: Rachel at September 17, 2007 8:31 PMI work at Kohls and am a fan of Iggy. With this song and the "Lust for Life" cover on commercials, I would say Iggy has sold out!
The song repeats every half hour at Kohls. Even if it was a favorite song, its ruined now.

It's Passenger, same lyrics and everything. Sounds a lot better than all but Iggy's version.

Not even the WIZ is safe... nor is the good music of the world, whatever kohls.... proving once again, you care more about making money, that your employees
Posted by: kohls associate at October 21, 2007 6:41 PMThere is a brand new Kohl's commercial out - its hard to understand what she is singing (the words) but its a slow, more romantic song and its being played when he is presenting her with some jewlery. It plays a lot on fox and WB - and its not the Delovely song, it's very slow and romantic but hard to hear the words
