April 11, 2007Music Heard in BP Commercial: Say HeyI have to admit, I have never used a BP gas station (there are none in my state), but if there were any around, the new "A Little Better" commercials would make me want to go there. Have you seen the "Say Hey" commercial with the whistle and the babies driving the car chanting "say hey" all animated to a sunny summer day? Say Hey, Keep reading to learn more about the song, and who created it.... Sadly, this song was created just for these commercials. The masters behind the music are known as Beacon Street Studios, who have created music for the "Truth" PSAs, Sprite and Burger King to name but a few. All I can offer you are a few Ring Tones. Not much, but maybe it will be a full version someday. What better praise for Beacon Street than to have the public so in love with their work that they want more? UPDATE 4-27-2007: An anonymous tipster just commented that this song was performed by Message of the Blues, who have recorded an alternative version called "L.A." So instead of "Say Hey" they sing "L.A." and all of the lyrics are different too. You can hear "L.A." on the Message of the Blues MySpace page. Leave a comment there and let 'em know you want them to record a full version of "Say Hey" too! An alternative line to listen to "LA" is here. For now though, enjoy the commercials, and pay a visit to the BP "A Little Better Gas Station" website. file this under Music Heard InPosted by on April 11, 2007 @ April 11, 2007 10:18 AM 23 folks had something to say |
