January 17, 2007Music Heard in Target Commercial: Hello Goodbye Hello Good BuyThis one has come up a lot this week: Target is running a commercial with a remake of the Beatles' "Hello Goodbye" Cherilyn asks: The lyrics: (Thanks for the question, but instead of posting it in the comments section of an old Christmas music article, use the Forums) We even got a response from a reader. Was it correct? Read on... (if you are looking for the music in the "A little Bit More" commercial, I have it here) Somebody named "Someone" left this as an answer: the new target song is called hello, good bye. it's by brian robbins, & erin alden. But I did a little digging, and I do not know for sure. It seems that there is another female vocalist, Zimbabwe-born Sophia Shorai who recorded "Hello Goodbye" for Target. According to the News section of her website: This appears to be another case of this being recorded only for the commercial, and not being for sale. Sorry folks, but it is a great tune - great voice she has. Sophia has worked for Target before, and provided vocals for other commercials too. You can hear samples on her Jingles page. Visit her main page for more about Sophia and how to order her CD. The Beatles version is on Magical Mystery Tour, which is a great CD. Also check out "Love" which is amazing! And the Brian Robbins & Erin Alden version of "Hello Goodbye" Watch the Target commercial below: file this under Music Heard In Posted by on January 17, 2007 @ January 17, 2007 11:14 PM 7 folks had something to say |
