February 03, 2006Music Heard in AT&T / SBC Commercial: All Aound The WorldYeah I don't get it, AT&T, the brand that was a result of the break up of the telephone monopoly which spawned SBC and AT&T is now re-forming? So what was the point of the break-up? And didn't Cingular (partially owned by SBC) JUST buy AT&T's Cellular Division because AT&T didn't want to sell to consumers anymore? Now AT&T will be re-selling Cingular service under the AT&T name. Ooohhkay. Anyone smell another merger? Feh, anyway, let's move on. Only heard for like :05 at the end of the "new" AT&T commercials, if you listen closely, you can hear they lyrics, kinda sorta, saying: Who sings it? http://www.promoguy.net/archives/002992.php That would be Oasis and the song is "All Around the World" And I don't like the "revised" AT&T logo either. I love the new AT&T because At&T and SBC are going to take over my area which is currently controlled by verizon and is shit and i love the song i been looking for that song for quite a little bit now

does anyone know if the instrumental music, (sounds like xylophones) before the oasis song comes on, is by any particular band? just thought that was a cool tune as well and was not sure

That Oasis song kicks ass but God forbid a UK pop/rock band conitnue to be successful in America. Instead we have to put up with all the hip-hop BS. it's NOT the Oasis song, but the whistling tune that plays along with the Oasis song.
Yes, I too would like to know the name of the AT& T/Bellsouth whistling song & who does it. The happy little tune is very catchy.

also: im not sure if it is an At&T commercial (i think it is) where the song sounds a little older and says something about 'dreaming' there are men singing and a woman that sings over them...sounds a little like Chrisette Michelle?
