September 27, 2005Music Heard in Target Commercials: Say Something NewA female voice sings "and all the things I had in mind for you and me" and models are seen giving gifts and enjoying Target products. It ends with the lyrics " say something new, something new, about something you do, something you do." But who sings that song? The answer is here! (Looking for the music in the "Little Bit More" Target commercial? The answer is found on this page) Though the commercial orginially ran in January 2005, Target has srated running it again. Somehow I never heard it before now, and it is stuck in my ear like Ceti Alpha V's only remaining indigenous life form. The song is called "Say Something New" by The Concretes You can also get it on iTunes by clicking here One notable thing is, the song on the commercial is somewhat different from the CD version. It seems softer, more gentile, less "produced" than on the CD. Could be it was remixed for the Target commercial, or there may be an alternative mix or stripped down version out there. Wish I had more information for you. The lyrics, while simple, work really well with the vocalist's performance. Hope that helps somebody, I know I love it when I discover a the name of a song used in a commercial I like. O.K. I recently heard a hypnotic dance track in a new Target commercial. The only part of the lyrics I remember is "in your eyes". (Yea... that helps). Would be great if anyone had any idea what I'm talking about. :)
Never mind, my friend slapped me in the back of the head and told me the artist and title. The song is "All Possibilities" by Badly Drawn Boy, from the album (which she happens to have), Have You Fed the Fish. LMAO :)
Apparently the version used in the Target commercial is a dance remix.
Can anyone help me out with the new target commercial that sounds like t-rex? I think there are lyrics somewhere in the song that at least sound like "you better believe what i tell you cause you got me in.. " "and don't you feel like you're in love" or something like that.... any help is greatly appreciated!
