July 27, 2005Dirty Little SecretsTuesday night on Letterman I walked in and heard Dave introduce a band from Oklahoma. Normally I don't watch the music part of Dave's show, but how could I pass up hearing a band from the state in which I live? I am so glad I watched. The group is called "All American Rejects" and the song was called "Dirty Little Secrets." It was a great performance. You can't see that performance, but an MTV video is online. I was pleasantly suprised to learn the video was inspired by "Post Secret" a web site where people send post cards with their deep, dark secrets (which are later published online). The band has even created a form where fans can submit their own secrets, which are then put into a video of "Dirty Little Secrets." Man, now that is a GREAT idea! Check it out at this URL. The story of the video and making of it are on MTV. On their web site, you can read about where to find several exclusive tracks (such as one at Wal-Mart.com and 2 at the Sony music site). You can sample their music on their Media page. Yah OK, All American Rejects have been around a while, but I'd never heard of them, or their music. I like it, and their single could get BIG. So have a listen and lemme know whatcha think. I wish their live performance on Dave was available to purcahse, it really sounded great! file this under MindPosted by on July 27, 2005 @ July 27, 2005 11:33 AM 0 folks had something to say |
