Quick(time) Fix

I had this problem where each time I would open QuickTime, it would throw these weird errors at me. I'd have to hit cancel like 20 times before the movie would play. It would pop-up messages like "drive can lot be found" and such.

It usually looks like this: There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive \Device\Harddisk\DR4

I found out what was going on, and better yet, how to fix it!

Turns out, I have a removable media card (SD card, compact flash) which had some quicktime movies loaded on it. Apparently I'd played the movies directly off of the card. Quicktime "remembers" the last X amount of movies you've played, and where they are stored. When it loads up, it looks for them, and tries to validate that they are still there. Well, I'd removed the SD card since then. So, Quicktime couldn't find the movies, and threw me an error message. After the first 10 times I clicked out of it, I began to lose my mind.

Thank goodness it is an easy thing to fix:
* Open Quicktime (or click past all the error prompts)
* Click File on the toolbar, then "Open Recent" then down at the bottom of the list "Clear Menu."

Done! No more errors.
