My Secret Wish...To Own A Herbie!

Ever since I was a wee bairn, I've always wanted to buy a VW beetle and paint it to look like Herbie the Love Bug!

Alas, that has yet to come to pass. However, I still hold on to the dream!

But, if you want to live the dream for me, you can! I just found a Herbie Fan web site that will sell you the Herbie decal set/graphics to put on your white Volkswagen. No pricing is listed, but I am sure it would be worth it. You can see a slideshow of the application of the decals right here.

I really had a blast looking at this gallery of fan-made Herbies. Pretty cool, yes? That to me is about as cool as it gets. However the Ecto-1 (Ghostbusters) and Flying DeLorean (Back to the Future) hand-made replicas are right up there with it (and of course, the Mystery Machine)!

Someday, I am sure I will have my Herbie. Ah yes, someday.....

Now, in other Herbie news, Lindsay Lohan is starring in Herbie: Fully Loaded" which will grace movie theaters sometime this summer. OK, the less we talk about that, the better. However, this entire post was inspired by a post at Jim Hill Media on just that very topic. Enjoy!
