December 6, 2004Band-Aid For my EarsSo, there is a new version of "Do The Know Its Christmas" by a group called Band Aid 20. Apparently it has been 20 years since the original Band-Aid version. The new Band-Aid includes: And the rest I've never even heard of: I listened to the new version of the song. Yuk. You know you are getting old when the songs of your youth are being remade by the youth of today (Brittany Spears records Bobby Brown's '88 hit "My Prerogative" for example). I don't think I've ever felt so old and out of touch. Yet, that's just fine by me. Posted by on December 6, 2004 @ December 6, 2004 12:46 PM 2 folks had something to say |
You never heard of Joss Stone? Please go on iTunes and add her first album, The Soul Sessions, to your Library right now. Your iPod deserves some good music!
Posted by: KB at December 6, 2004 11:08 PMThey're all British pop stars. Keane are a wimpy indie band with no guitars *Gasp!*. The Darkness are a silly stadium rock novelty act. Supergrass were the only redeeming thing about the Britpop movement of the mid '90s. Beverly Knight, Jamelia and Ms. Dynamite are rnb singers. And Joss Stone is just VILE! Her music is horrible derivative muck, her voice is terrible and Tom Cruise likes her, what more can I say?
Apart from the fact that, yes the new Band Aid single is terrible, but what were you expecting? The original was even worse!
