July 10, 2003I read the news today....hooo boyI really need to get used to using a News Feed/XML/RSS/whattheFeveryoucallemnow Reader. I am test driving the Feed Demon beta (Beta 2 is out now). But I honestly forget to fire it up. And there is another one I tried that I really liked, that had some sort of tray pop-up notification. I forget which one it is. I need to find that one again. I think it wasn't one of the free ones though. Anyway, my point is, I've been a bad blog reader. I blog all the time and expect you to read me, but I've been really bad about visiting anyone else's blogs in the past few weeks. I've been even worse about leaving comments. I feel bad about that. Like I am not doing my part to spead goodwill and cheer. You did know I was the Goodwill Ambassador of Blogs didn't you? Yup. I am. I backed off reading a few blogs because the "preschooler" attitudes I'd seen so much of. You know, "I don't like you so I'm going home taking all my toys with me. Then all of my friends are gonna get you." Then it just got easier to read even fewer. I checked my Bloglet update today (love those) which I'd not read any of in a week or so, and guess what? That same "preschooler" mindset is still alive and well. Guess I didn't miss much. I think someone needs a "time out." file this under MindPosted by on July 10, 2003 @ July 10, 2003 08:35 AM 2 folks had something to say |
I'd gotten behind on my blog reading and not getting much further than the dailies I HAVE to hit, and yeah ... yesterday I ran into a WHOLE lotta drama out there. It's mind boggling.
Posted by: Orb at July 10, 2003 1:14 PMYeah, there's been a lot of that going around lately. One site has in fact vanished except for a last parting shot. It's really stupid isn't it? I guess it's just a microcosm of the rest of the world. You just have to keep looking for the good people and avoiding the bad. It's really sad since I assumed, perhaps wrongly, that most bloggers were more sophisticated than this.
