May 30, 2003God In PocketI recently discovered that one of the (many) Christian radio channels we have here in Okla, is the Calvary Chapel Broadcast network. Apparently Calvary Chapel is HUGE on the West Coast, and has a rather large presence scattered about the USA. I'd never heard of it before. They play all these sermon snippets all day, little radio programs made from sermons by different pastors. One of them I really enjoy is by Pastor David Rosales of Calvary Chapel Chino Valley. His show is called "A Foundation for Living" and they have an archive of these shows available here. But what I think is cool is that I can download these RealAudio sermons and play them back on my Pocket PC. This makes the "Drive at Five" much more bearable, and it is kinda hard to get "Road Rage" when you are listening to a Pastor. I use the Real Mobile Playa. I consider my Pocket PC my poor-man's portable MP3 player, except it also plays RealAudio, Windows Media, MPEG, AVIs, and so on and so on. I use other programs for the other formats, but the Real Playa is good to have on hand. Other shows that I've liked a lot are "Straight From The Heart" by pastor Joe Focht and "To Every Man An Answer" with Chuck Smith (a great phone-in question and answer program). Just thought I'd spread the word. file this under Pocket PCPosted by on May 30, 2003 @ May 30, 2003 09:38 AM 3 folks had something to say |
