May 29, 200313.7 ounces of Pure BlissI don't know when it happened, but today I saw that Starbucks now has a BIG Frappuccino on the shelves of the Quick-E Mart! They had both "Coffee" and "Mocha" Flavored. Which do you think I chose? (Dang, I should have installed ScriptyGoddess' Mini Poll). No more buying 2 of the 9.5 oz Frapps on those sluggish days! Wonder why they don't print the calorie information on these things? Google tells me that a small bottle is 190 calories, so I wonder what a big bottle is? How many "points?" Feh, I don't feel like digging around for it today. In the winter, I perfer to get the Almond Amaretto from the serve-yourself machines they have at the Quick-E Mart. But in the summer, I switch to the occasional bottled Frapp. You know, it just hit me. These Frapps are not too far off from being a "Yoo-hoo" drink. Oddly, I can't stand "Yoo-Hoo!" at all. Chocolate flavored water? Noooo theenk yew. But add in some coffee flavor, and I'm sold! Interestingly, both claim water as their first ingredient. Weird. Bottled Drink Factoids: -Yahoo is reporting that Coke is launching a new Milk-based drink with 55% skim milk so it can be an option on the school lunch menus. It should be out any day. Coke had a similar drink nicknamed "Slap" and another called "Choglit." The article says "Swerve" will replace them both. -Yoo-Hoo is produced by Cadbury Schweppes' Snapple Beverage Group -"Shock Mocha" has set it's sights on SB's Frapp, and from this review, it is pretty tasty. Wonder if it has 200mg of caffiene like it's sister drink "Shock: Hyper-Caffeinated Coffee?"

I love Starbucks, so I gotta say that the Frappuccino has SQUAT on their new Doubleshot. Mmmmmmm. Doubleshot...
As a side note, I have tried many of those Sobe drinks, and most are pretty good if you can get past the syrupy sweetness of it all. I have not, although, been able to bring myself to try any of those *cloudy*-looking drinks. They just kind of creep me out, like softshell crabs.
