Posted by: Marlon Hates it!!! at April 7, 2003 4:26 PMI'm not actually sure what the prices are. I think the last time I got gas it was about $1.60 something for the lower grade (87 or 89)...I'm in St Louis, MO.

Posted by: Julie at April 7, 2003 4:44 PMIt's 1,20 euros per liter, so I guess around 3 USD per gallon or more. I live in Finland where we actually pay a decent price for our gasoline. It sure does make people think twice before riding a car for some pathetic 1km-distance. Cars should be used only when public transportation fails, and public transportation should never fail, unless it is half a meter of snow and -40C outside.
Posted by: Jenni at April 7, 2003 5:07 PMAnd what the hell is this "oh it's so expensive" -stuff anyway? That oil doesn't just pop out of thin air: it's a limited natural resource! And as long as Americans are going to keep on driving their three station wagons per family and buying their cheap gasoline, this world will never have any hope to solve the greenhouse problem.
I could go on and on about this. It rubbs off from my geography teacher.
