March 27, 2003Hit 'N' Run - 03/27/2003More goods on the web. Enjoy! Is Michael Moore a Moore-on? Read MooreWatch.com and see for yourself. The new Tomb Raider trailer is up at Yahoo!movies. Sucky RealMedia and WindowsStreaming format - ick. Movie looks better than the first, which isn't exactly a compliment. Customers Suck. But, you knew that. Did you know there is a boatload of excellent, free software at Serif.com? For those that can't afford PhotoShop or PSP, be sure to take a look at PhotoPlus 5.5. They have all sorts of other programs. Why are they free? Beats me, but go get some! Just about every "port" of Doom known to man can be found here We all have our favorite text editors. Mine is Araneae. But I thought that Syn and Crimson were worth a look - I like the file manager view a lot! Nplayer is another Media Player in case you do not like WinAmp or Windows Media Player. Another "project" site to add to my Link List: Lonely Socks. If you have a High Speed Connection (and let's face it, everyone but me does), be sure to check out the Reuters Raw Video feed from the Gulf War (right side bar). This is the footage the TV stations chop down for their :30 news segments. You won't ever see ALL of what you see on the feed on TV. IE Booster adds a lot of "right-click" options to your IE web browser - 1.6 is available now. On a related note, Microsoft made a nice set of right-click Web Accessories for IE 5. The nice thing is, these still work in IE 6 and up. Since MS is discontinuing support for IE 5.5, these may vanish soon. I'd suggest getting them and burning them to an archive CD. Since Chris was cool enough to provide a link to MC Hawking's Crib, I wanted to return the fava and point out this oldie but goodie - Dictionaraoke! Your favorite songs as sung by the voices used on online dictionaries. Huh? you say? Give it a listen, it makes more sense once you've heard it. I've never seen TechTV, but I have had fun reading Megan's blog - she is expecting so she isn't blogging too much these days. Though it seems to be down today, this page links to most of the TechTV blogs. KJH, aka Data Dump always has interesting links to visit. Free Pocket PC Uninstaller - page is in Russian but free is free. WiredVideo has all the videos you'd seen mailed about on the web. But I want to know where I can find that clip of Bush preparing for his speech? RSS stuff: Radioland's Top 100 Most-Subscribed-To RSS Feeds. TheFeedRoom's list of RSS channels. Feedster & RSS Search are 2 RSS/XML search engines you should try. Feedster even has a "war" filter (and you can read the development blog too). RadioLand has a RSS search engine directory. David is writing a lot about RSS search engines this week. The News Feed is an RSS only, um, News Feed. HeBig is maintaining a list of (mostly) free RSS readers. At some point I need to try InBoxBuddy for spam removal. But Cloudmark SpanNet is doing such a good job for me I may never get around to it. Peter David, writer of stuff and comics, reviews this week's Buffy. Lots of interesting reader comments here too. Ghastly Weight Watchers recipies from the 70s! I just might hurl, oh wait, looks like someone did. The site above led me to Food, scary and the Gallery of Regrettable Food's Bad Ad section. Sean gives us a video clip of the Doggie version of Crack. The e-Holster....Geeky or a Male Carry All? Wouldn't it look nice with some MobilePants and a ScotteVest? file this under LinkagePosted by on March 27, 2003 @ March 27, 2003 11:33 AM 9 folks had something to say |
