I love the display on the new Visor Prism that came Friday. But the bad thing is, it won't HotSynch. Now, there is not much point in a PDA if you can't load software and synch it to your Outlook.
So, I am waiting for Handspring Tech Support to get in (10AM EST) and will give them a call. My fear is that since I bought is as a floor demo, there is something damaged with it. There is a 14-day return policy, but I have to pay shipping back to them and they charge a 20% return fee - that is $15 more than I paid! And there is no refund, just store credit. Yeah, that's what I get for not reading the return policy.
But that only means I have to wait even longer for a color PDA, and is even more frustrating because I have one in my hands right now that won't work 100%! Dog gone this impatience of mine!
However, the good thing is, even in this condition, I know I can make my $115 back on e-Bay. Especially if I include the extra EyeModule 2 I have. Someone will buy it, I am sure of it.
Then I can get another Prism OR make the move to the PocketPC world (see the Monday Mission). The thing holding me back from a PPC is that for the Visor, I have the MemPlug, the EyeModule2 Camera, a keyboard, a Cell Phone for wireless e-mail, chat and browsing, a GPS and vibrating alram doohickey. Now if I went for a PPC, I'd want most all of that again. And I have no idea what it would cost, but probably more than I can make by selling all that.
Sorry to vent on all this geeky gadgetboy stuff. I'm just down about the whole thing and am not sure what my next move will be.
