January 6, 2003Monday Mission 3.1PromoGuy's Monday Mission 3.1 Welcome to the Monday Mission version Three dot Oh! You know, if you are expecting a drastically different product, then get used to disappointment (name that quote). The formula has worked for over a year now, so why muck with it I say. But I do plan to add a new twist now and then, just to keep things fresh. Hope everyone got a little time off their usual routine and had a great holiday. After about 2 weeks off I am now back to work and you know, I don't mind a bit. If you have a mind to, why not also swing by this year's Bloggie awards. There is a category for "Best Meme of 2002" and heck, you know, the Monday Mission might just fit right in that there entry form. I never ran for Student Council so I am making up for lost time. Now get ready because it's about to get heavy....time now for: PromoGuy's Monday Mission 3.11. What is one of your favorite things to wear? 2. Did you get any "dud" gifts for the holidays? Will you return them? 3. Let's do a few "Best of 2002" thoughts. What was the best movie of 2002? Why did you pick that one? 4. What world event of 2002 made an impact on you? 5. What personal event of 2002 was the most memorable? 6. Is there anything in 2002 (decisions, relationships, purchases, etc.) that, looking back, you would have done differently? 7. Shine up your magic crystal ball and look into the future. What do you think will happen in your life in 2003? Or, what would you like to happen in 2003? BONUS: Was it somethin' I said or somethin' I did, did my words not come

The only song lyrics I can think of right now are "Taste and see, taste and see, the goodness of the Lord" from a hymn we used at our wedding.
Posted by: Davey's mommy at January 6, 2003 9:10 AMI'm up. :) I love just about every lyric on the "Room For Squares" album by John Mayer. I've also been into some of the lyrics by Richard Marx and Savage Graden/Darren Hayes. Half my entry titles are lyrics! LOL
Posted by: Shawn at January 6, 2003 9:15 AMmine are up!
I was trying to think of some snazzy lyrics to put up here....but I can't. BAH. See what psychological havoc finding a dead fin-less fish in the tank will wreak on a girl on a Monday morning?
I dunno. I need more coffee though.
Mine are up :)

If I woke up one morning with my memory gone
I'd pick out some clothes and I'd put them on
Then I'd walk down the street and find a cafe
And I'd order a Guiness and I'd sit there all day
Then some kids would come in and start a fuss
About how great their weekend in New Orleans was
I'd look down and smile like their tale was my own
I'd be drowning in memory, and then I would know
How it used to be in summer, so many years ago
When we really didn't worry, or care to know
Where we would be, or how old we had grown
Then I'd open my eyes and I know I was
Home
Where my friends are
Even when I'm not
I wish you were here (Home, by Deep Blue Something)
great questions. POISON ROCKS!
Posted by: laura at January 6, 2003 11:54 AMTomorrow, by Avril Lavigne.
"I don't know how I'll feel/ tomorrow, tomorrow,
I don't know what to say/ tomorrow, tomorrow
Is a different day"
Up!
Right now I'm diggin' every word that comes outta Norah Jones' mouth.

Eat your pork and beans

They're up. Happy New Year.

Posted by: John at January 6, 2003 1:29 PMup here! :)
There's something wrong somewhere here
So through unclean streets I made my way
With holes in my shoes and my children asleep at my feet
I paid my way
In every town on my way
The people looked grey the buildings looked healthy
But one day I met the man
With money to spare
He said he would tell me how it is
The State he began
Has been propping up people too long
For far too long
We all got lazy and couldn't be bothered
To make our way through the world
But we are all bourgeois now
Once there was class war
But not any longer
Because baby we are all bourgeois now
So go out and make your way through the world
We're free to choose
We're all free to chose
In Booming Britain we all work together
To raise ourselves in the world
Each of us knows someone
Who's done so well for themselves
So well for themselves
"Thank you," I said as I left
I see how it is, I'll be on my way
We are all bourgeois now
And somehow I'll raise myself in the world
I'm free to choose
We're all free to choose, we're all free to choose
I'm free to choose
We're all bourgeois now
We're bourgeois now...
(repeat ad nauseam...)

I could tell by how far the child's shadow stretched out
He walks with a purpose in his sneakers down the street
He had many questions like children often do

A bit of Robbie Williams for you...
I just wanna feel
Real love fill the home that I live in
I got too much love
Running thru my veins
To go to waste
"Always"
I hear... a voice say "Don't be so blind"...
it's telling me all these things...
that you would probably hide...
am I... your one and only desire...
am I the reason you breathe...
or am I the reason you cry...
Always... always... always... always... always... always... always...
I just can't live without you...
I love you...
I hate you...
I can't get around you...
I breathe you...
I taste you...
I can't live without you...
I just can't take any more...
this life of solitude...
I guess that i'm out the door...
and now i'm done with you...
I feel... like you don't want me around...
I guess i'll pack all my things...
I guess i'll see you around...
Its all... been bottled up until now...
as I walk out your door...
all I hear is the sound...
Always... always... always... always... always... always... always...
I just can't live without you...
I love you...
I hate you...
I can't get around you...
I breathe you...
I taste you...
I can't live without you...
I just can't take any more...
this life of solitude...
I guess that i'm out the door...
and now i'm done with you...
I love you...
I hate you...
I can't live without you...
I left my head around your heart...
Why would you tear my world apart...
Always... always... always... always...
I see... the blood all over your hands...
does it make you feel... more like a man...
was it all... just a part of your plan...
the pistol's shakin' in my hands...
and all I hear is the sound...
I love you...
I hate you...
I can't live without you...
I breathe you...
I taste you...
I can't live without you...
I just can't take any more...
this life of solitude...
I guess that i'm out the door...
and now i'm done with you...
I love you...
I hate you...
I can't live without you...
I love you...
I hate you...
I can't live without you...
I just can't take any more...
this life of solitude...
I pick myself off the floor...
and now i'm done with you...
Always...
Always...
Always...
That's by Saliva. Mine are up.

This is the song that never ends,
Yes it goes on and on my friends!
Some people started singing it not knowing what it was!
They'll continue singing it forever just because....
