So, the pastor and music director at my church hit me up to do some updates to the site, while some other fella is doing an all-new version.
I felt kinda weird about this, kinda like they were going to me behind his back because he was too slow for them. I mentioned this and was told it was fine by him so I went ahead and made some minor changes even though I was unsure what my role actually was (is).
Well he finally released the new version of the site and I think I am pretty much out of the whole deal. Not that I mind, I really don't have time for it - I make a lousy "free" webmaster. But I kinda feel like the rebound person that you toss aside after you've had a fling with before moving on to a serious relationship.
Like I said, it is really better that he do the site. He is a designer (whereas I am more of a developer and idea person) and seems to have the time and energy for it.
And the site looks pretty snazzy too. Lots of Flash and whiz bang, definitely not the direction I would have gone. Actually, the thing is almost ALL in Flash (a bad choice in my opinion, but who asked me anyway). So, it is better for everyone that I am out.
But sheesh, they coulda bought me dinner first.
