June 17, 2002Monday Mission 2.24Yikes! The Mission has been finished for some time now, but due to website weirdness, I couldn't post it. Posting it now before something else happens!!! Welcome to the Father's Day edition of the Monday Mission. First off, I know this MM may be hard for some folks to do. Could be that your Father was never around, or passed away, or was abusive. I hope that is not the case, and if it is, no offense is meant. Some Missions are harder than others to complete, it just depends on the life you have lived. The goal of the MM is to make you think, for better or for worse. Second, if you do the Mission, be sure to add yourself the Monday Missionary Link List (scroll down the page a little, on the left). Third, if you are a first timer, be sure to say so in your comment. And finally, sign up for the MM mailing list to be notified when the next MM is posted. (There are 315 email addresses so far - amazing!) So, without any further ado (and we all have enough ado, don't we).... can I get a whup-whup? Monday Mission 2.24 via PromoGuy.net 1. What does Father's Day mean to you personally? 2. Was there a Father, or a Father Figure in your life as you grew up? 3. a) If you are a parent, is the father of your child(ren) involved on a daily basis? Is that even important? or if you do not have children b) Would you like to become a parent? Would you be good at raising your own children? 4. With Rosie, Callista, Jodie and Camryn all raising children without Fathers, Hollywood seems to be sending a message that children do not need male role models. Do you agree? Are these "stars" sending a good message to the young adults who admire them? 5. Do you think the absence of a loving, caring father in the life of a child could have any influence on their sexual preferences when the child grows up? 6. Was there ever a time when your father became "uncool." Or maybe embarrassed you? 7. Are you ever too old to kiss your Dad? BONUS: When you coming home, dad? file this under Monday MissionPosted by on June 17, 2002 @ June 17, 2002 09:41 AM 71 folks had something to say |
