I watched a tape of the (not so) new "Outer Limits" series from Showtime (now syndicated everywhere). As the "Control Voice" ended the show, he said some very wise words:

"In an evermore complex and dangerous world, vigilance and guidance is needed for those most vulnerable to its cruelties ... our children."

Oh, how I agree!! I'm such a nasty (although cool) mom - my children aren't allowed to watch TV with the exception of about 45 minutes of PBS each day. They usually turn it off themselves after 20 minutes, I kid you not.

What do they do instead of tv? They're kids; they run around and act all hyper. I'd rather have them be like that then brainwashed by all the crap that's in commercials.

OK, I'm off my ultra-conservative soapbox now.

I did the 5 of Heathers, though yours looks interesing.. hey maybe I'll give it a go tonight. But... *sniff* no one seemed to do my substitute last week. :-(
