Buffy Question

Non-Buffy fans feel free to scroll on by.

I know I suck, but I didn't realize the old Buffy's were in syndication on Saturday and Sunday nights. I will now set my VCR for them since I don't have cable/FX to seem them each night.

But, I caught the end of an episode where Buffy pushed Angel into some sort of Vortex and Willow had started it somehow.

When I tuned in Angel and Buffy were sword fighting and I was hooked til the end. So essentially, I missed the entire show. What the heck was going on? I know Angel lives on in his own series. What gives?

Also last night they played an episode where Giles turns into a feral Demon. Again, I just caught the last 30 mins on it (well 30 is better than the 10 on the other). And at the end the female professor director of the underground soldiers goes into this top secret room and shuts the door. It looked like that was foreshadowing something, was it?

You saw Becoming II, which was the 2nd part of a 2 part episode--one of my favorites eps, actually. *sniff* I watched it yesterday and bawled (again). Angel comes back from the hell dimension the next season, which really started the beginning of the end for Buffy/Angel...they couldn't be together because of the curse (if Angel experiences one moment of perfect happiness, he loses his soul--he and Buffy slept together, which caused Angel to lose his soul and become Angelus. When Angel is Angelus, he's a super evil vampire--he tortures Giles and kills Giles' girlfriend, Jenny Calendar, and the entire season was spent with Buffy fighting him and ended with Willow resouling him just as Buffy had to kill him to stop the world from being sucked into hell. Major. Angst. *sniff*

The Soldier's were the Initiative, which was the story arc for season 4. In fact, the Initiative are the people who gave Spike his "chip", so he can't hurt humans--they did testing on demons, etc.

Ok, now I'm majorly embarassed to know all of this, but if you have any other ??...feel free to ask. LOL
