Tom wrote in to ask:
What is the name of the song that plays in the toyota commercial where everyone is flying down hill on big wheels??
By the way, that is a REAL event, not just a goof for the commercial (see video at end of post). So to that, “krellkraver” had the answer:
That’s “Mongoose” by Fu Manchu ![]()
This song can be found on the 2002 Fu Manchu CD “California Crossing”
as well as the 2004 “(Godzilla's) Eatin' Dust.” ![]()
This commercial, called “Anything but Ordinary,” was shown in Super Bowl 42. The YouTube description:
“Anything but Ordinary” introduces the “All-New Toyota Sequoia: Anything but Ordinary” car, with plenty of extra room for all ocassions shows a tricycle race with adults racing big wheel trikes, which are shown piled high atop the all new model of the Toyota sport utility vehicle. The on-screen graphics show the line, “The dishes will wait, Life won’t.” Commercial ends with “Toyota. Moving Forward.”
