There is a new, very pretty animated Walgreens CVS/Pharmacy commercial (and that is Walgreen’s, not Wal-green’s) with a woman walking through a park, helping people, and ending with her as a pharmacist.
(Thanks to Sars for correcting me, it is CVS not Walgreen’s – got so caught up in the music I didn’t pay attention!)
The music really stand out:
It’s not that usual when everything is beautiful
It’s just another ordinary miracle today
The sky knows when its time to snow
You don’t need to teach a seed to grow
It’s just another ordinary miracle today
It’s just another ordinary miracle today
Click “Read More” for who sings this haunting, lovely song and watch the video!
That song is “Ordinary Miracle” originally recorded by Sara McLachlan
, from the soundtrack to Charlotte’s Web
, the live-action movie (get the DVD, its great! – or download it now atazon Unbox).
However, vocalist for the commercial is singer/songwriter Kathy Fisher of Fisher (the band). Kathy performs a lot of music for commercials (covered here before), and Fisher the band has some great songs, and several CDs
. I don’t think you can buy Kathy’s version of “Ordinary Miracle” (usually those are just for commercials), but you should definitely check out their other work
(website – MySpace).
And to be complete, the campaign was created by Hill Holliday of Boston, the title is “Watering Can” and the animation in the commercial was created by Acme Filmworks of Los Angeles.
CVS has a site dedicated to caring people, which has the commercial – ForAllTheWaysYouCare.com.
Here is the music video from Charlotte’s Web:

the song ORDINARY DAY IS SO BEAUTIFUL
it’s actually a CVS commercial
Thanks for the info on the lovely song/vocalist featured in the CVS Pharmacy commercial. I googled it right after I heard the spot, and just now looked up the band, Fisher, on myspace.
Thanks again!
Absolutely beautiful. Now I have to buy the soundtrack.
My 15 month old son loves this song and just stops to listen every time the CVS commercial comes on TV! I got online to see if I could find it and now I’ll have to buy the CD just for him.
I’m making a DVD of photos and video of my daughter who turns one in May. I heard this song on the CVS commercial and wanted to see if I could find it. This link was the first to come up on Google and is exactly the info. (and more!) I was looking for. I’m not even sure what this site is but thank you to whomever took the time to post this thorough info. and all the links; I really appreciate it!
