I may regret this, but planning on gifting myself a new PSP – Playstation Portable. It comes available March 24th, a just a few days before my March 29th Birthday.

Jake has all the skinny, and he has decided to wait a while for his.

The big secret however, is that you can place a pre-order for it right now. Or sign up for your Free PSP – Playstation Portable right here in the meantime. GameStop will let you reserve one for $50 up front (or trade-in 3 used games), and EB Games will do the same for a mere $20 down. If the Nintendo Gameboy DS frenzy is an indication of what to expect for the PSP, that might be worth considering (and is what I did).

It will be sold in the “Value Pack” ($250) which seems to be the only variety. I wonder if there will be a “plain” version, without all the extras. At least one of the extras is “Spider-Man 2″ so that will be great to have. Guess I need to factor in at least $40 for an actual game to play on it.

See, like I said, I may regret this…
