Just for fun, I making a list. Join in, won’t you?

What basslines from songs are the most memorable? The kind, when you hear the Bass Lines you just know the song before it gets four seconds into it. Take a look at my list and see if you agree, then add your own!

Most Memorable Basslines…ever

* Good Time – Chic
* Another One Bites The Dust – Queen (ok, these first two are almost identical, but you have to admit they are memorable)
* Peter Gunn Theme – Duane Eddy
* Ghostbusters -Ray Parker jr.
* I want a New Drug – Huey Lewis & the News (again, these are almost identical – I think there was even a lawsuit)
* Beat It Billie Jean – Michael Jackson (Thanks Dave, that’s what I meant to list)
* Every Breath You Take – The Police
* Under Pressure – Queen & David Bowie
* Ice, Ice Baby – Vanilla Ice (a total rip-off of “Under Pressure” but worth noting because it is memorable, possibly moreso than the Queen song – Thanks to Cinefreak Justin for the reminder)
* Genius of Love – Tom Tom Club
